TEMPORARY (PLASTIC) PARTIAL
INSTRUCTIONS

Purpose:
To provide stability and/or aesthetics until a more permanent solution can be made.
Cleaning:
Soak with denture cleanser and brush well daily. Make sure to keep your natural teeth scrupulously clean as well.
Eating:
The weakest areas are front teeth and wire clasps (if able to be used). Great care must be used to avoid breaking the temporary partial. It is delicate, and designed mostly for aesthetics.
Risk:
Eating hard foods on the temporary partial teeth can cause breakage. Inadequate cleaning can cause excessive cavities and swollen red gums where the partial contacts teeth or gums.
Storage:
The temporary partial can be stored in water with a teaspoon of baking soda or denture cleanser.
